Parikshith Thampuran Museum, Cochin-
Parikshith Thampuran Museum exhibits coins, copies of murals, bronzes and megalithic relics of Kerala dating back to the 19th century. Apart from these, the museum also houses oil paintings, plaster of Paris and stone sculptures. This Kochi museum is stationed on the Durbar Road near the Ernakulathappan Temple. This Kochi museum is named after the last official ruler of the Cochin Empire, Rama Varma Parikshith Thampuran. The museum is located within Durbar hall, which was built in a traditional Kerala style. The museum is closed on Mondays and other national holidays. However, the Parikshith Thampuran Museum is open from 9.30 am to 12 noon and from 3 pm to 5 pm. |
